Organization's assessment
Assess the personality and culture of the client organisation in terms of their competence levels, their ability for change, their absorption to new ideas & technology, hunger and ambition for growth & forge leadership, their resources and other attributes and characteristics of the organisation.
This clearly draws out the implementation issues in the client organisation.
Forge
partnership
Forge a clear partnership with the client. Let the client be a part of the solution. This goes a long way in the solution being implemented effectively.
The solution to the problem/ need should be his baby and not of the consultants.
Carry Out Analysis
Carry out analysis of the information collected and then put together various solution alternatives. Check them out with your partner the client. Keep reforming them till you arrive at a few alternates. Build a cost benefit and risk analysis of each of the solutions. In various stages of solution development, involve the client in sifting the various alternatives and with modifications arrive at a solution with complete confidence of the client and possibly of the key personnel in the organisation. This phase brings the acceptance of the solution.
Implementation
Finally work out modalities of implementation with the client organisation and carefully navigate it. This stage is the last mile and is very sensitive to the success of the engagement.
